AN OPENED DOOR SET PERFECTLY BY THE LORD

After resigning from my first job, I took the opportunity to apply to various companies and explore online platforms such as Upwork. I created an account and was able to work with one client, but when I eventually got hired by a company, I stopped using the platform.

A year later, I received a message from an Upwork user asking about my work experience and whether I knew how to use a specific accounting software. I replied, but I wasn’t really interested since my mind was already set on finishing my contract with the company I was working for at that time. However, Stefan was very persistent.  Even after I told him I wasn’t interested, he continued reaching out and offered me a part‑time work setup. He scheduled a date for a personal meeting and interview at their office. I confirmed through a message that I would attend, but at the last minute, I hesitated, thinking that it might be a scam. Then, on the same day, he messaged me asking where I was and if I needed help finding the location. That message pushed me to finally go and take the opportunity, whatever the outcome might be.

During the interview, they offered me a full‑time job on the spot. I was stunned. That wasn’t what I went there for, and I definitely wasn’t ready to hand in my resignation because it could create a problem with my employer back then. A lot of things were running through my mind after our meeting, but the thought of finally leaving that narcissistic company made me excited and beyond grateful.

As I look back, all I see is the Lord’s hand—aligning every detail with purpose and working it all for my good (Jeremiah 29:11). The experience I gained- from logistics to all‑around duties at the consulting firm—paved the way for my role in my current company. Even before I left my first job, I firmly believed that the Lord would always open a door for me wherever I go. He will never close a door that He has intended for each one of us. So whatever season you are in, entrust everything to the Lord, trusting that He is using it for your good.
